Rules and regulations
PRIOR TO ARRIVAL:
Please read all rules prior to your first trip to Gopher Dunes.
Please fill out waiver forms located on our website before your first trip of the year to Gopher Dunes.
Minor waiver forms must be completed by a legal guardian.
Spectators and/or participants on the property hereby assume all risks and injuries or damages resulting thereform.

DAILY RULES:
All guests must stop and check-in at our Pro Shop upon arrival.
Every guest who is riding or participating in an event at Gopher Dunes must have completed a waiver form, paid and checked in at our Pro Shop prior to parking and riding.
If a guest begins to ride without checking in/paying at our Pro Shop the result will be a minimum $200 fine. This includes golf cart drivers who are not checked in.
Day parking is located in our south grass field between the peewee track and main track.
We have a speed limit of 15 km/h in our pit area and parking fields. This rule is for all vehicles, dirt bikes, ATV’s, and Side by Sides. Our pit area can be very busy with pedestrians and children.
We do not allow machines to be running outside of riding hours. ie; if the track opens at 11am, do not start your bike or ride your bike to the course until exactly 11am. No riding after riding hours have ended.
There is absolutely no riding in the grass fields or and other grass areas at Gopher Dunes. This includes all bikes, ATV’s and side by sides, keep your machines in the dirt. Failing to follow this rule will result in a $200 fine.
There is no riding on our grass sound barrier or on the infields of the tracks. Failing to follow this rule will result in a $200 fine.
Proper riding gear is required. It is mandatory to wear a proper full face off-road helmet, over the ankle boots, eye protection, long sleeves and pants.
Additional recommended safety gear are as follows: chest protector, neck brace, mouth guard, knee guards and elbow guards.
Helmets are required on all machines at all times. This includes riding in the pits to the courses.
The Stacyc track is only designed for Stacyc’s, bicycles and E-bicycles. No other machines are permitted to use this track.
All tracks and trails are one-directional. Make sure you understand which direction each course follows before entering.
Enter and exit the track and trails at the designated entrance point. Each course has one entrance and exit.
Do not at any point cut the track or trails when riding. Follow the full course and do not alter it.
Make sure that you are riding the correct track for your model size and skill level. If you are unsure which course you can ride, always check with our staff.
Double riding is only permitted in Side by Sides and 2-up ATV’s. All other double riding is not permitted.
The use of drugs and alcohol is not permitted prior to or during riding at Gopher Dunes.
Riders are under the obligation to know their surroundings. Check tracks and trails for obstacles. Watch for hidden rocks, stumps, holes, fallen trees, branches, etc.
Do not dump any oil on the ground. The result of draining your oil on the ground is a $2,000 fine. We have oil disposal at our Pro Shop that you can pay for by the litre.
Clean up after yourself prior to leaving, please use our trash cans. Do not bring garbage from home to put in our trash disposal cans.
Swimming and fishing is permitted, however all minors must be accompanied by an adult and must stay a minimum of 100 feet away from our irrigation pump. You are assuming your own risk by swimming in our pond.
We ask that all guests use common sense and express courtesy towards their fellow racers and to the staff of Gopher Dunes.
Gopher Dunes does offer machine recovery services at no charge unless a tractor is required. In this case, machine recovery is a minimum of $50.
We strongly encourage you to come riding with a friend and not ride alone.

BICYCLES, E-BICYCLES, E-BIKES, AND SCOOTERS
BICYCLES:
All bicycle riders under 18 must wear a helmet at all times when riding a bicycle.
Bicycles are permitted to use the trails and Stacyc/bicycle track when they are open but not any of the other tracks.
Bicycles may be ridden in the pits after hours but must be off of the trails and Stacyc/bicycle track by dusk.
All speed limits are in affect for E-bikes with a max of 15 km/h in the pits.
Wrist bands and payment are NOT required for bicycle riders.

E-BICYCLES:
E-bicycles are defined as bicycles with battery powered pedal assist. No throttle.
All E-bicycle riders under 18 must wear a helmet at all times when riding an E-bicycle.
E-bicycles are permitted to use the trails and Stacyc/bicycle track when they are open but not any of the other tracks.
E-bicycles may be ridden in the pits after hours but must be off of the trails and Stacyc/bicycle track by dusk.
All speed limits are in affect for E-bikes with a max of 15 km/h in the pits.
Wrist bands and payment are NOT required for E-bicycle riders.

E-BIKES:
E-Bikes are defined as battery powered bikes that have a throttle. This includes throttle battery powered bikes with pedals.
All E-bike riders must wear a helmet at all times when riding an E-bike.
E-bikes may only be ridden inside of designated riding hours.
E-bikes may use the proper track designated to their size along with the trails
All speed limits are in affect for E-bikes with a max of 15 km/h in the pits.
Wrist bands and payment ARE required for E-bike riders.

STACYC:
All Stacyc riders must wear a helmet at all times when riding a Stacyc.
Stacyc's may only be ridden inside of designated riding hours.
Stacyc’s may use the Stacyc and beginner tracks.
Stacyc’s are not allowed to be used as pit vehicles.
Wrist bands and payment ARE required for Stacyc riders.

STAND UP SCOOTERS:
Stand up scooters are permitted at Gopher Dunes.
Drivers under 18 must wear a helmet.
Scooters may only be used in the pits and must be parked at dusk.
All speed limits are in affect for E-bikes with a max of 15 km/h in the pits.
Wrist bands and payment are NOT required for scooter riders.

PIT VEHICLES:
Using your motorcycle, E-bike or ATV as a pit vehicle at Gopher Dunes is prohibited, NO EXCEPTIONS.
GOLF CARTS: Are permitted with the following rules being abided to
You must sign-in and pay to use your golf cart PRIOR to driving it.
You must pay per driver, (Each paid driver will receive a wrist band that goes on their wrist and not on the cart).
You must be a minimum of 16 years old and have a valid drivers licence to drive a golf cart at Gopher Dunes.
Your maximum passengers cannot exceed the amount of seats in your golf cart.
Golf carts are not permitted after dark.
ATV’s and Sides by sides are not considered Golf Carts and cannot be used as pit vehicles.
ATVs:
Our trails have a maximum tire tread height for ATV’s and Side by Sides which is 1.25 inches. Tires larger than 1.25 inches or non pneumatic tires are not permitted.
No mud lugs permitted on trails.
Spacers past 1 inch are not permitted.
Double riding is only permitted in Side by Sides and 2-up ATV’s.
CAMPING RULES:
Overnight parking (camping) is permitted at Gopher Dunes.
Every vehicle that parks overnight at Gopher Dunes must purchase a $30 camping tag prior to your overnight stay (EVERY VEHICLE).
Our camp site area in the forest is for seasonal campers only who have purchased an annual pass.
Campfires are allowed, but must be in a raised fire pit which you must provide. You are responsible to extinguish & clean up pit area.
Gopher Dunes does have firewood available for $12 per bag.
Before lighting your campfire, check with staff to confirm that there is no fire ban in place.
All noise levels at minimal after 11pm. We do allow inverters to run all night but if you are using a loud generator you will be asked to turn it off at 11pm.
Please check ahead for gate closing times, we do not allow overnight guests to arrive after hours.

EVENT RULES:
During events all guest must follow our Gopher Dunes rule guide but also the additional rules put in place by event coordinators for that event.

TRAINING AND RENTALS:
When booking a reservation for our rider training and rentals, the deposit is non-fundable for a no-show.
We do allow deposits to be used for rescheduling a reservation or in store credit if we are notified within 24 hours of the training session.
If you show up late for your session you will not be guaranteed your full session. We ask all students to show up a minimum of 15 minutes prior to the session.
Please be mindful of what option you are booking. If you have not rode before you must take a Red Rider session before booking a rental.
If machines are being mis-treated by renters or renters are acting irresponsible, the session will end immediately without refund. Additionally, damages from abuse will be covered by the renter. This is determined by Gopher Dunes staff.
All damages to rental units will be paid out by the renter.
We supply safety equipment to all students and renters.
All rental riding gear must be returned prior to leaving Gopher Dunes.
A credit card number is required to rent a bike.
