Cabin FAQ

To make the most of your experience we wanted to provide you with a list of items within the cabin, on the property and guidance on the best experience. This is truly a classic cabin experience that includes a real wood burning stove to warm your cabin and bring the ambiance.  Outdoor plumbing and cooking - but don’t worry, we have showers on-site, and classic basin/bowl hand washing stations in your tiny home-away-from-home too!

  • We love for our guests to get to experience building and lighting their own heat! If you haven’t built a fire in a wood stove before, we recommend that you check out this “how to” on youtube. If further support is needed, please speak with Guest Services at Main reception for further support.

We provide you with the wood in your cabin complementary. Any additional wood needed can be purchased at the shop between regular shop hours at a cost of $12 per bag.text goes here

  • No. Because the wood stove is on tiles and has a resistant backing against the wall, it's safe for fire burning. However real candles can knock over and with a wood cabin can pose a risk to you and your companion(s). Your cabin is equipped with artificial candles and lanterns for your safety and convenience.

  • Guest services are here to help provide the best possible experience. If you are having trouble locating something in the cabin or forgot something you can speak with guest services and they will do their best to inform, assist or supply.

  • We understand that guests joining us for longer stays will want access to the indoor plumbing and shower facilities. This is accessible through the main reception (shop) area. As it can be a busy area during regular business hours we ask that you book your shower time before 9am or after 530pm for a better experience. Towels can be provided with previously booked times, but we ask that you bring your own toiletries. For those that enjoy the authentic outdoors experience we do have a beautiful swimming pond - we do ask that you use only soaps and products that are kind to the environment and biodegradable.

  • Your cabin is provisioned with a battery powered fan, this will help to cool you down on the hot summer’s night. We also recommend closing the windows during the day and opening them up during the evening.

    2 flameless candles

2 folding chairs / small bistro table (doubles as an end table)

  • We are flattered that you like our taste, but we ask that you not take things in the cabin that are provisioning. If you do take something home with you, there is a charge associated with every item at a premium (including glassware, soup, towels, pillows, etc) - please inquire on the costs associated and if something listed is missing when you check in please notify guest services right away.

The items that you are not charged for would be any welcome treats (as indicated) and the first batch of firewood (already in the room).
